Truth is a Blur

Truth is a blur

Sometimes, you know,
the truth is a blur.
It’s hard to follow
that fast.
They go flying by,
and won’t stay
in my eyes.
We forget
what we saw
and it’s past.

Scarlet and yellow
and black
zip on by.
They rumble and thunder
but still seem to fly.
Horses and riders,
the colours of spiders,
spectacular spectacle,
we came to see.

Sometimes, you know,
the truth is a blur.
It’s hard to follow
that fast.
They go flying by,
and won’t stay
in my eyes.
We forget
what we saw
and it’s past.
