Pink Coral Bells

Out of dark corners,
darkness absorbs
so much light.
Outright lies and
sneaky little
half truths
weasel out
from murky gloom,
invoking fear
that eats at
foolish minds.

Truth takes a
different path,
ignoring big lies,
never boldly challenging
credulous mindsets.
Moving on.
It seems a waste
of time
to dispute folly
with fools.

So folly persists,
as parent to child,
broken words
spread nonsense.
And children play,
repeating
childish idiocy,
learned at the feet
of their elders.
When will we
ever learn?
