Harvest

Harvest

And so we grow,
summer sunshine
warms our
sullen spirits.
Sunrise and sunset
look so much alike.
Crabs on a
filthy beach,
we scurry.
Opportunities present
such soggy passports.

Mysteries masquerade
as normality.
If we paid attention,
we might understand.
Magical creatures
in a cloudy sky.
Whose drunken bulldog?
Absurdities hide
unseen messages.
Answers for
questions we
don’t even know.

And so we grow,
summer sunshine
warms our
sullen spirits.
Sunrise and sunset
look so much alike.
Crabs on a
filthy beach,
we scurry.
Opportunities present
such soggy passports.
