Dead Leaves

Dead leaves,
from another day,
glistening
after rains
have blown away.

We look
and see now
that it is
so clear,
the lines in
their faces.

We know
bacteria
and fungi
work their
wonders,
slowly
removing
substance,
returning
nutrients
into a world
of death
and rebirth,
all as we
watch and
wonder.

      1. Thank you. Some people like one, some the other. My words are natural to me, in my genes (bard, court jester, fool).

The ‘good camera’ thing is a photography joke. It is a backhanded comment about the talent of the photographer. So a crappy picture is excused too. (bad camera or lens)

My spoken voice and written voice are very similar. I choose the same words and express myself in the same way (some kind of brain defect, I guess).
