Wires

Wires

   layers of
   history
challenge
our senses

power poles
      hold up
transmission
   cables

   outside
      dusty
parlours,
   outside
those cozy
      homes

metaphors
   wherever
       i look

Wired and even more a wireless parlour or cosy home feels promiscuous. We don’t speak in terms of cables anymore. Cabled, is a soft word almost ancient now, how quickly time flies, so much has changed in the age of wired and wireless. Today we zoom in and show face, gone are the days where we cabled an urgent telegram to speak to the president, lover or friend.
    Indeed, the metaphor is rich.
