White Water

White Water

      a little
white water
   excitement
may not hurt
      too much,

a little fear
   might help
   something

some people
   seem impressed
by their own
   importance,
very sadly

such buffoonery
   is common
      in old men
(who want to feel
noteworthy)

a little fear
   might help,
fear to
have failed,
      in every
meaningful
   way

   it gets no
better, but
   maybe wetter;

and tears fall
   as old men
      realise
their lives
have little
   meaning
      or value

a little fear
might help
      something

  1. Gazing upon his life, what is so exciting to observe how the old man moves between the avenues and crooked paths of his life. I feel the strength even through fear to reverently seek or bring alignment to his life.
