Around the Edge

Around the Edge

peeking around
   the corners
      of what
we can see,

   into a world
   unlike mine,
she tells me
about a rabbit

   that saved
      her life
when she was
an infant.

      i can't
   follow her
      where her
mind goes

   i see a pond:
there is an edge
      where land
and water meet,

      sometimes
   the water
spills over,
   and floods

muddy and sour
   her wet land
   lies outside
      my world

i can't thrive
   in such a
hostile place

peeking around
   the corners
      of what
we can see,

   i know,
      for me,
her rabbit
   has fangs

      1. Hi blindzanygirl! Abstract thought (or maybe feeling) That’s all I get. Always. No voices. No pictures.

Maybe you have never had pictures. I don’t know. If you have or not, your world and my world are both (at once) the same and different or unique.

We all have unique but similar experience as humans. If we were all the same there would be no entertainment value in talking with anyone.
        🙂
