Green Patch

Green Patch

      we should not
   call them weeds
(respecting life)

      they may not
   be so welcome
in our yards

      but they
   announce it
springtime

when it's right.
   a time comes
   when we grow

green in that
summer light
   and glow

      such beauty
   as is in us,
that it shows

if we are weeds,
   unwanted and
      unloved

   we should be
   so determined,
push and shove

   grow strong
      and thrive
in our own way

"show personality"
      is what they
   like to say!

   we all are
      beautiful,
somewhere inside

      something
really wonderful,
   we cannot hide

Thank you Murray, I appreciate these beautiful reflections, sentiments and the meditations into the varying green patches in our lives, heralding spring in different ways upon our lives you shared with us this morning. We are thankful for the grace in all circumstances for our unique personalities to bloom.
    Wishing you a blessed day.

This is beautiful! And… most of the “weeds” we so desperately try to remove have so many medicinal and healing properties! All the more reason to be thankful to be a weed! Blessings
