Black and White Barn

Black and White Barn

      all the colours
      that we need
to tell a story...

all the colours
      that we see
make white.

   no colours
      at all
make black.

      darkness is
   like silence
to our eyes.

   a step this way,
the point of view
   will change.

this becomes that.
      and unreal
   becomes real.

   looking around
corners: a question
      of seeing.

any artist should
   know: seeing is
      not believing.

but believing
   is a big part
      of creating.

creating may require
all the beautiful
   colours that
      there are.

  1. [Ask a scientist and you’ll get a reply based on physics: β€œBlack is not a color, white is a color.” Ask an artist or a child with crayons and you’ll get another: β€œBlack is a color, white is not a color.”]
To sum up, black is the architect of the universe.

    (but believing
    is a big part
    of creating.)

      1. As an artist you are reasoning as a physicist. And I think it is as you expressed, depends what corner you looking from. From my view black is a crucial colour in starting out strong to narrate our stories. Think about it, I’ve heard this story told black holes are the architects of the universe,
