millions of years of eroding weather and a sandy bottomed shallow sea, almost everything maybe lived there, then the world changed again. snow fell almost forever, then ice piled up deep. miles high glaciers, down mountains did creep. again and again, the cycles did turn, mountains rose up forests did burn. always erosion! sandy bottom in a shallow sea. millions more years and the sandy bottom, became sandy hills. more rain, for more millions of years, eroding. strange, wonderful sculptures begin to emerge from soft sandstone. we can wonder and maybe worship the sculptor.
